End User License Agreement
Last updated October 3, 2026
1. Grant of license — individual use
SpaceWise (the "Software") is licensed, not sold, to you by its developer ("we," "us"). For personal, non-commercial use on Macs you own or control, we grant you a free, perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software, with every feature available, indefinitely. This license does not expire and is not conditioned on payment.
2. Optional individual support purchase
You may make an optional one-time support purchase for personal use. It adds no features and does not change the free license in Section 1. It removes an occasional, dismissible reminder and supports continued development.
3. Business and organizational use
A business license is required for each Mac owned, issued, or controlled by a business, nonprofit, government entity, or other organization. It is also required when you use your personal Mac for that organization’s work. The license is charged at the current per-seat rate for every Mac on which SpaceWise is installed. The app does not technically block organizational use; this requirement is part of this Agreement.
4. What this license does not permit
- Redistributing, reselling, or sublicensing the Software as your own or bundled product
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Software, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits
- Using the Software to build a competing product using its rules database or classification logic
- Removing or altering any copyright, trademark, or attribution notices in the Software
5. Ownership
The Software, including its source code, design, rules database, and documentation, is and remains the property of its developer. This Agreement grants you a license to use the Software; it does not transfer any ownership rights.
6. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is," without express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. SpaceWise’s risk ratings are guidance, not a guarantee against data loss. Keep your own backups, such as Time Machine, before performing cleanup.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
8. Termination
This license is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you fail to comply with any term of this Agreement, including the business-use licensing requirement in Section 3. Upon termination, you must cease using the Software and delete all copies in your possession.
9. Changes to this Agreement
We may update this Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Software after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement.
